The beasty lived during the Triassic Period about 205 to 250 million years ago.
According to other sources the earliest salientia (frogs, toads, salamanders etc.) is Triadobatrachus massinoti. The oldest true frog is Vieraella herbsti. (See the Kitchen for a link to a page on salientia and their history.)
